EAJ Crisis Response Team
EAJ|CRT
Formed out of the overwhelming response of EAJ members to offer volunteer services in times of need, the EAJ Crisis Response Team (EAJ|CRT) was established to be a dedicated group of individuals capable of offering assistance to law enforcement and other emergency response agencies. There are many benefits of enlisting the assistance of the EAJ|CRT group. For more information on obtaining a partnership with the EAJ|CRT please contact a member of our admin team.
Off-Road Capabilities
Our highly modified, off-road capable rigs allow us to provide access to locations where typical emergency services vehicles cannot go. Lifted suspensions and large aggressive tires provide clearance and traction in less than ideal conditions, while recovery accessories like winches, snatch blocks, and tow straps allow us to reach the destination and assist other vehicles as required. All members of the EAJ|CRT are trained and well-versed in off-road safety, safe recovery methods, and minimizing impact to the land and surrounding area. The EAJ|CRT can escort emergency vehicles and provide assistance as needed to allow them access to less than ideal locations.
Off-Road Lighting
Our rigs are outfitted with off-road, high intensity, LED lighting. Night time search and rescue has increased difficulty due to darkness; however, with the flip of a switch our lighting allows us to provide near-daylight lighting for whatever task is at hand. Many rigs are outfitted with directional forward facing lighting, adjustable spot lighting for peripheral lighting, and perimeter lighting to illuminate any obstacles we may encounter.

Communication
Members of the EAJ|CRT stay in constant communication via CB radios outfitted in each Jeep. This allows us to stay in contact with each other at greater distances without having to rely on cell phone service; while freeing up emergency agency communication resources for other volunteers. While CB radios do not allow us to communicate directly with emergency personnel, it's an easy way to keep all members of our group in contact and allows us to dedicate a single point of contact with emergency agencies. This allows the EAJ|CRT to be a self-managing component to any crisis response situation.
Manpower
A crucial component to any crisis response situation is manpower. The EAJ|CRT has a core group of individuals ready to assist as needed, along with the reinforcement of the 1500+ members of the Evansville Area Jeepers club. Since it's inception, EAJ members have always gone above and beyond to go out of their way to help another member. Rest assured that if manpower is required, EAJ can provide.
